Heartfelt thanks Swapan da for a fitting tribute to Salil da, composer par excellence. One of my top Kishore da’s favourite, that I could listen on endlessly in loop. Kishore da as always is unassailable in this song & In my view this must rank among Kishore Da’s all time top 5 renditions.

An average song. The tour de force for RD Burman in his "declining"years was 1942 A Love Story, which proved that he still had that magic to create gems. Unfortunately, it was his last. Also Nadeem Shravan took melody to new heights in the 90s. Very difficult for RD to compete with them.

One of my most favourite songs of the great Kishore Da and the genius music director Salil Choudhary! There is the Bengali version also, which I suppose was created before. This song makes me emotional, nostalgic with the touch of melancholy to it. Never again we will have such beautiful gems. It is a treasure to keep safe.
